Game Time!
I am sitting in the press box only 35 minutes before the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Lakewood BlueClaws ring in the new season. FirstEnergy Ballpark is a beautiful field and a sell-out crowd is expected. The weather, by the way, is unseasonably beautiful. Sunny skies in New Jersey? Thats a rarity.
I was down on the field for quite awhile today talking to coaches and players and they all seem to be really excited to kick off the season tonight.
One more thing- the World Series Trophy won by the Phillies last year is here tonight. I’ll try to get someone to take a picture of it.
