Float for the Fund! 5:05 Game 1 Start

73 Gallons of ice cream are being used for tonights “Float for the Fund” at Perdue Stadium! That is a little bit more than 276 liters of ice cream.  I hear we have over 150 liters of roat beer.  That’s enough for all of Salisbury.  I might have to sneak out of the press box at some point to get me a float.

For just $5 you can get a rootbeer float served up by local celebrities like WBOC’s Dennis Ketterer, the B 95.3 & 101.7 Karen, Davis Ruark, Rick Pollitt and others. The float comes in a commemorative Shorebirds mug for you to keep. Of course your cup is filled with delicous MUG brand rootbeer and vanilla icecream. All proceeds go to the Shorebirds Community Fund, which was established this year with the goal to use the funds to support local youth sports programs.

The rootbeer float stand will be set-up inside the ballpark and will run until we run out of mugs. Sunday is also our Orange Crush Jersey Cinch Sack giveaway to the first 1,000 fans. Tickets start as low as $6.
