Gamboa to Arizona Fall League

The recognition for Eddie Gamboa continues to pour in.  There was some chatter about this in the hotel lobby before leaving for the ballpark today so I wanted to verify it.  According to MASNsports.com and Steve Melewski, Eddie Gamboa is indeed headed to the Arizona Fall League.

Here is the list of minor leaguers headed to the prestigious AFL -

Brandon Snyder – Norfolk

Josh Bell – Bowie

Matt Angle – Frederick

Eddie Gamboa – Bowie

Ryohei Tanaka – Bowie

Josh Perrault – Norfolk

Brandon Erbe – Bowie

Brandon Waring (“taxi squad” – can only play two days a week) – Frederick

The eight O’s prospects are going to be playing for the Phoenix Desert Dogs, winners of five straight AFL titles.  They will be teamed with prospects from the A’s, Rays, Blue Jays and Nats.
