Team Batting Average
I was doing my game notes and I was thinking that the ’09 Shorebirds team batting average might be close to the bottom in comparison to the other 13 years. It turns out that its about the average (maybe a tad below). Here is a year-by-year look.

1997: .250
1996: .242
Last year was the best all-time. 2006 was the worst all-time.
The average in the previous 13 years of Shorebirds baseball is .250.153. So the ’09 Shorebirds are going to be right around there at seasons end.
