Roster Move
Roster move had to made today to help the pitching staff.
For game one of the doubleheader, Jesse Rasner will be added to the roster and Jesse Beal will be transferred down to Aberdeen (Jesse will remain with the club).
For game two of the doubleheader, Rasner will be transferred back to the GCL Orioles and Cole McCurry will be added from Frederick. McCurry will start game two and Rasner will remain with the club.
McCurry is simply on loan to start game two. He will go right back to Frederick. McCurry was solid for the Shorebirds last season, posting a 6-9 record with a 2.71 ERA in 25 starts. After the all-star break, he was probably the best pitcher on the staff. He had a 1.97 ERA in 12 starts in the second half.
Rasner played his college baseball for the Nevada Wolfpack. He recently signed a free agent deal. http://www.nevadawolfpack.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10000&ATCLID=3651283
