Since Dowdy Left…
I was alerted of this by a fan and I thought it was worthy of a short blog.
Disclaimer…I’m not saying there is necessarily a direct correlation but since Josh Dowdy was promoted to Frederick on 7/15, the Shorebirds are 6-10. The really interesting part is that of their 10 losses, seven have been by either one or two runs.
Of course Dowdy was only a one-inning guy so you can’t imply that the ‘Birds would be 10-6 during the stretch if he was still here. But, they might have been able to sneak one of the games out.
Anyway, we arrived in Charleston before 9 p.m. last night, which is outstanding. Guys should be well rested for this West Virginia series.
Our rotation is…Moreland, Beal, Kantakevich, Bundy.
