In Hagerstown

Just pulled in to Hagerstown, Maryland in preparation for the series opener tomorrow at Municipal Stadium.  This series will be a really good measuring stick for Delmarva.  They have won 14 of their last 16 games but all have been played against the Southern Division.  Should be fun to see them play the second place team in the North.

The Shorebirds have won four straight series (Augusta, Savannah, Charleston, Asheville), their longest such streak since the 2007 season.  Don’t forget that this team started 5-9 before exploding to their current 19-11 mark.

The Shorebirds didn’t win their 19th game last season until May 22 (game 43).  They won number 19 in game 30 this season.

I’m interested to see what the Suns have done at Municipal Stadium.  I’ve heard that they have made a few upgrades.  I’ll keep you posted on that front.

It’s a matchup of the two hottest teams in the league.  Shorebirds have won 14 of 16 and the Suns have won 9 of 10.

Bryce Harper is red hot by the way.  He takes a 12-game hitting streak into game one against Delmarva. He has 7 home runs and 24 RBIs this year.  Harper has five multi-hit games in his last six games.  He is striking out less as well (only two K’s in last 28 at-bats).

Are the time stamps on your enteries correct? You arrived in Hagerstown at 6:04am.

Apparently they are not – we arrived in Hagerstown at about 1:30 or so.

When will the pitching rotations be posted for the series?
What is Pope’s injury and when will he be back. We have 7 other guys on the 7-day DL. What’s their status?

Tim Berry, Luis Noel, Tim Adleman, Jacob Pettit for the Hagerstown series.

How about their rotation?

What knowledge do you have on all those 7-day DL guys?
