Mike Flacco playing well

Mike Flacco will put an eight-game hit streak on the line in the finale on Monday against Kannapolis.  He is 16-of-32 (.500) during the stretch.  Flacco has seen his batting average rise from .231 to .327 during the recent stretch.

In this current series against Kannapolis (three games), he is 9-for-14 with four doubles, two triples and five RBIs. 

Flacco has five multi-hit games in his last six games played.

*RHP Scott Copeland is on the mound tonight for game four against Kannapolis at 7:05 p.m.  By virtue of a Hagerstown loss last night, the Shorebirds are only 2.5 games out of first place with 26 to go.  Hagerstown has lost four games in a row. 

*Jacob Pettit now leads all Orioles minor league pitchers with five wins.  He went seven last night to earn his fifth win. 

*Even though Kipp Schutz went 0-for-3 last night, he still leagues the league in hitting (.387) by 16 points.  Matt Curry of West Virginia is second in the league at .361. 

*Clay Schrader has not allowed a run to cross since April 19 (that’s not a typo).
